About Us

The Centre for Applied Management Science Trust is the developer and patent holder of various sophisticated business instruments. The centre has been established in 1992. Dr. Niël Wolfaardt is the executive trustee. It deals with management science. Since management is a multidisciplinary science two advisory boards are assisting him and his small team - a primary advisory board and a secondary advisory board. The first deals with cutting edge innovative knowledge, the latter comprises specialists from different academic and business fields dealing with current (non-innovative) specialist knowledge. Members are invited from time to time to serve on one of the advisory boards and their invitation is renewed annually.

Incorporated within Centre for Applied Management Science Trust are two specialist entities:

• The Data Mining Institute of South Africa – a background entity growing stronger as data bulk and variety increase.
• The Benchmarking Institute of South Africa - able to compute benchmarks never possible before.

Specialist statistical services are rendered by Prof. Giel Hattingh and his team from The Decision Systems Group (School for Computer-, Statistical- and Mathematical Sciences of the North-West University)

We an active partner of the Centre of Excellence –NWU to which we were invited two years ago. We are now in the process of establishing a dedicated Value Management Centre of Excellence.
