Q5 Group
The Trust does not deploy its own business instruments, but uses specialist operational companies under the banner of Q5 and specialist sales organisations such as Value 5 (V5) and a specialist management company
The sole purpose of the Q5 group is to deploy Enhancement Programmes to industries starting with industry leading companies. There is a deliberate separation between CAMS and Q5, V5 & Q52 in order to protect the academic integrity of CAMS ensuring objectivity and independence at all times.
Q5 companies are used in highly specialised markets where there are clearly demarcated boundaries such as Q5 Property Solutions (Pty) Ltd – focusing on large commercial property owners. Other specialist companies are in the pipeline. V5 is a sales organisation – offering the correct value proposition to specific target markets, directed by the Trust. In order not to duplicate specialised administrative and logistical tasks these are combined in a single specialist management company, Q52 In essence, the Enhancement Programmes are developmental. It, however, starts by evaluating the outcomes of business processes in order to establish {i} what must be improved, {ii} when (in what order of priority), {iii) by how much and {iv} by whom.
It is a process – a value management process – it manages the value experienced by buyers (tenants, customers, clients, guests, patients or whatever they are called in different industries). It then assists sellers (those who sell goods or services to the buyers identified above) to enhance the value they offer to their buyers. Therefore the Q5 Value Management Process revolves around Enhancement Programmes that are customised for the special needs of industries and stakeholders operating within that industry, emphasising the fact that the Q5 Value Management Process is indeed development driven.
The Q5 Value Management Process is scientifically sound and deals with hardcore practical issues. It applies (i) exceptional methodology (for scientific veracity), by means of (ii) special technology (for cost effectiveness) and by following a (iii) unique strategy (for swift deployment).
Q5 creates win-win scenario for all stakeholders as part and parcel of its strategic positioning. Therefore, it deploys its scientifically sound methodology, exceptional technology and unique strategy in such a way that all stakeholders benefit from the Fundamental Management Information the process permeates throughout the industry, establishing benchmarks that were never possible before for companies internally to pursue and for industries as a whole.
